MOBA 2016Class of 2016
Privacy Policy

Your data, treated the way you would want yours treated.

Plain language. No fine print. Last updated 23 May 2026.
At a glance

Three principles.

Principle

Member data stays inside the year group

Phone, email, WhatsApp, exact location, dues and contribution history — visible only to verified members of MOBA 2016. Never sold, never shared with third parties.
Principle

You control what is public

On the public web, only name, class, public bio and profile photo are visible. Email, phone and full address are member-only by default. Per-field privacy toggles are coming in the profile editor.
Principle

We only store what the roster gave us

The data was provided voluntarily through the year-group sheet. We re-host it; we do not enrich it with anything you didn’t share.

Who we are

MOBA 2016 — the year-group platform of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association, Class of 2016. The platform is operated by the elected Executive Board and managed technically by the VP International's office. We can be reached at support@moba2016.com.

What we collect, and why

  • Roster information (name, nickname, class, house, location, profession, photo, phone, email) — collected via the Class of 2016 information sheet so members can find each other.
  • Authentication data (your sign-in email, session cookies) — collected when you sign in so the platform knows it's you. Sessions expire and refresh automatically.
  • Contributions & RSVPs — kept so the Treasurer and Organising Secretary can do their jobs. Aggregate totals can be public; individual amounts are private unless you opt into the donor wall.
  • Uploaded media — photos and videos you contribute to the Memory Archive, with the visibility level you choose (public / members-only / executives-only).

Where it lives

Member data and authentication sessions live in Supabase (Postgres, EU-West region) with row-level security policies that enforce the matrix above. Sign-in emails go through Google Workspace (or Resend at higher load). Media files live in Supabase Storage with signed URLs for any non-public asset.

Your rights, and how to use them

  • See your data — the entire roster row we hold on you is visible on your profile page when signed in.
  • Correct your data — email support@moba2016.com with the change. The Secretary updates it. Self-serve editing lands soon.
  • Take down a photo you appear in — one click on the photo (coming with the Memory Archive launch); for now, email and we'll pull it within 24 hours.
  • Delete your account — email and we'll remove your profile entirely. Aggregate / historical records (contributions you made, RSVPs you logged) may persist anonymised so the year-group ledger stays accurate.

Questions go to a real person.

This is a year-group platform, not a corporation. If anything here worries you or doesn't make sense, write to support@moba2016.com and the General Secretary or VP International will reply.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in the portal and via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
